A bit about me and how Warm Welcome Baskets and Bags came to be!

I practiced law for many years and retired at the height of the Covid pandemic. Looking for the next chapter, I thought hard about what I wanted to do next.

I realized that one of the activities that had brought me joy through the years was making welcome bags for family and dear friends to greet their guests at the start of a special occasion weekend. When guests travel to a destination, their first introduction to the weekend ahead is the welcome bag waiting for them in their hotel rooms. When that welcome bag holds, perhaps, a bottle of water and a couple of prepackaged items from a big box store, there is an inevitable letdown.

I fill my bags with homemade baked goods and carefully chosen items that reflect the special occasion. For example, a bride and groom may write a welcome letter to their guests. For a destination event, I may include a brochure that lists things to do in the area. If there is a color scheme or theme for the event, I incorporate that into the welcome bag. Everything is personalized, with beautiful paper goods and packaging that set the tone for the upcoming celebration.

I received so many compliments about my beautiful bags and realized that I could transform my avocation into a business.
